In our chiaroscuro* society we find such striking contrast
Between gentle niceties and pretentious bombast
Between the ‘I have a dream’s and the racial epitaphs
Between the eloquent word and the internet pornographs
Between the poor and destitute and the corpulent rich
Between the philanthropic nice guy and the son of a bitch
Although the contrast is easier to see, the truth is in the middle
And the possible solutions to collusion to this day remains a riddle
The sound bites point out black and white and paint a picture grim
But the answers come through time and patience in memoriam.
