At first glance it would certainly appear
That political discourse is in a state of disarray
And should cause each voter to tremble in fear
That society was not ordered but rather, ‘come what may’.
The messages from each political party are so very inconsistent
And all the statements are filled with deceptions, lies and half-truths
In spite of all the beliefs of each are strident and so very persistent
But seem to be severely lacking in the most basic of verifiable proofs.
This imbroglio* dost truly disturb me and to no end
But alas and alack what exactly is a voter to do?
Should I eschew them both and hope it will mend
Or choose the lesser evil? I don’t have a clue.
